Why Need an Interactive Display in Your Classroom/Office?

2019-07-19

In our fast paced tech-driven world, capturing the hearts of children is a challenge. Keeping their attention is an even bigger challenge. The best teaching is an art and a science. Educators are integrating technology in the classroom with amazing results. Interactive Displays are an innovation that many classrooms and offices are beginning to adopt. So, an interactive display in your classroom and office is a necessity.

This article will discuss benefits that interactive display will enhance your classroom and office.

1. Benefits of the Interactive Displays in the Classroom

Teachers globally have already discovered the power that that touch screen technology can have in a classroom. It’s helping their students to learn more in a shorter space of time, but despite the benefits of these touch displays, not every country is on track with integrating this technology in their classrooms.

With these touch displays used in the education sector, students can be engaged with participatory lessons that are designed to reinforce skills with multi-sensory and collaborative learning. Instruction techniques from years past simply can’t keep up with today’s hyper-connected youth. Notes can be stored and shared and students outside the classroom will still have access to data.

2. Benefits of Interactive Displays in the office

When it comes to the boardroom, ideation and dispersal of information are important elements of productive meetings and more than 125 blue-chip (Fortune 500) companies in over 50 countries around the world are using visual collaboration solutions in industries such as financial services, manufacturing and advanced technology. Whether your team members are most productive in one-on-one informal collaborations or formal presentations and training, you never lose an innovative idea and can make effective and timely decisions. Instead of spending 30 minutes on one-way presentations on a traditional touch screen or slide across a PowerPoint, an interactive display enables meeting participants to fully engage with the information being discussed. Access to information is also more effective since files can be easily shared, accessed, edited, and saved all on the touch screen. You can iterate in real-time, editing and making changes as you receive feedback from your colleagues.

Choose Right Interactive Display for Classroom

2019-07-18

Whole-class learning is a key aspect of the modern classroom, but how do you find the right solution for your school? There are a variety of options, this article will talk about how to choose the right display for your classroom.

1. LED & LCD

All displays are LCD; they are backlit by LEDs or CCFLs. LED backlighting provides a brighter picture and is more energy-efficient. Don’t strain your brain over the acronyms – LCD/LED tends to be the better choice.

2. Screen Size

There are several screen sizes for choice in each LCD touch panel series. Students should be able to easily read 20-point type from the farthest point away from the display in the classroom. To make that determination, use this simple equation: 3X the diagonal screen size = the farthest distance from which a student can easily read the text on the display. A 70 in. display can thus serve students as far away as 17.5 ft (5.3 m), and an 84 in. display can serve students as far away as 21 ft (6.5 m).

3. Multiple ports for external connection

Certain connections must be a given for your display to transmit and receive the necessary data effectively. For example, 2 HDMI, 1 VGA, a stereo connection if you are using VGA, and a microphone port if you will be using a microphone.

4. Multi points touch

To find out how many touch points you need, ask yourself these two questions: How many students will I typically have working at the display? How many students can comfortably work at the display at the same time?

5. Software

Make sure that the software that comes with it gives you more than drivers and a slide show. You want to select software that can actually enable and engage learning – software that offers collaboration opportunities, provides assessment, and integrates with mobile learning.

Creating Better Teaching Methods With Interactive Whiteboards

2019-07-17

Interactive whiteboards have become popular over the last few years, and it appears that their use will continue to grow exponentially. Interactive whiteboard offer a lot of advantages to both the teacher and the students. With interactive whiteboards they have the ability to enhance the curriculum and allow learning activities that were impossible to imagine in a traditional classroom environment.

This article will talk about how you can integrate interactive boards in the classroom and create better teaching methods:

When It Comes to Students

Studies have shown that students who are physically active are more likely to absorb information than those students who sit at their desks all day. Interactive boards in classrooms present a great opportunity for teachers to get the students out their chairs, and work at the interactive boards using the input tools provided.

Many interactive boards allow multiple users to simultaneously access the board. This also gives the teacher a great opportunity to have the students work together on projects and lessons.

But if used properly, it is the students and not teachers that should be working on the interactive boards.

Allow to do Multitask

A teacher can play a video clip on one half of the board, while have questions regarding the video on the other half of the board. The teachers can also take screenshots of important moments from the video while it plays. Interactive boards in classroom can make even a simple activity of watching a video interesting and interactive.

A great helper to Teachers

Interactive whiteboards have great potential as a tool to enhance pedagogical practices in the classroom and ultimately improve student achievement. However, simply assuming that using this or any other technological tool can automatically enhance student achievement would be a mistake. As is the case with all powerful tools, teachers must use interactive whiteboards thoughtfully, in accordance with what we know about good classroom practice.

Interactive Display-Important Choice

2019-07-16

An interactive display is a tool that allows multiple people to engage in a collaborative experience using a touchscreen to take notes, annotate content, and more.

Many schools and districts have invested heavily in interactive whiteboards (IWBs) for their classrooms. But when these IWBs reach their end-of-life and are ready for replacement, schools must decide whether to purchase new ones or go a different route for their classroom projection systems.

For schools ready to replace their old IWBs, this article are going to talk about some other good alternatives to consider:

Flat Panel Displays

Essentially large screen televisions, when connected to a computing device - wirelessly or with a cable - they offer a clear, high-definition (HD) image. The LED technologies used in these displays continue to advance, and the display costs are going down.

Interactive Flat Panel Displays

They appear to be flat panel displays, but they have touchscreen features that make them interactive in the same manner as IWBs with mounted projectors.

Interactive Whiteboards

Special pens are no longer needed and one can operate the board with just the touch of a finger.

Also IWBs allow users to connect to them with wireless devices to project their screen image on the board from throughout the classroom.

Interactive Projectors

There is also another interesting alternative to IWB’s: Interactive projectors — like the Epson BrightLink — that display an interactive image onto almost any clean, flat white surface, like a classroom wall or whiteboard.

On a promising note, digital display and projection technologies are advancing at a rapid pace, and there are more and better options than there were five years ago. And one can foresee a not-too-distant future with excellent and affordable wall-size classroom display solutions. However, in the interim, schools are still faced with making hard choices.

Why Laser Projector is the Future Trend of Projector?

2019-07-15

Projection technology offers countless opportunities for companies, events, or brands in the market for producing an AV experience. Now, with the integration of lasers, the projection landscape is undergoing a major shift on a scale that hasn’t been seen in 20 years when the debut of Texas Instrument’s DLP (Digital Light Processing) projectors hit the market.

The Laser Advantage

The benefits of laser projection technology are immense. They allow more compact projectors of the same brightness class, although the weight wouldn’t change, as lasers are just as heavy. They have lower decibel ratings since most of the noise a projector emits comes from the cooling fans. There is no orientation sensitivity, and a laser light source consumes less power than its xenon counterpart.

Quality, brightness, and longevity. Anyone who has seen a lamp projector and a laser projector side by side in a dark room knows that lasers produce a much brighter image, and since they can handle nearly any wavelength of light, they’re able to produce deeper, richer, more precise colors as well.

Longevity is also a plus. Not only do laser projectors emit a brighter light than bulb projectors, they also maintain that brightness over time. Unlike bulb projectors, which tend to lose their color and luminosity relatively quickly, a 5,000-lumen laser projector will still run pretty much at 5,000 lumens in two to three years.

In short, laser projectors might be more expensive, but in the long run they could be more cost-efficient, depending on how they’re used.

Is the Interactive Display Necessary In the Classroom?

2019-07-12

Since the introduction of interactive technology in the classroom, there have been many changes and advances in the industry. Whilst a small minority in the education sector are still not completely convinced of the efficacy of using technology to assist teachers, there are those that embrace the benefits it delivers. As this technology evolves and devices become smarter and offer more functionality, is there still a place for pioneering classroom technology such as the interactive touch screen?

This article will discuss the necessity of buying interactive displays in classrooms. The following are the advantages that teachers who use our panels have noticed in the classroom:

1. The modern classroom is one that focuses on engagement, collaboration and interactivity. And the interactive whiteboard has been instrumental driving this approach. In fact, large classroom displays are generally seen as a ‘must-have’ technology in the classroom to facilitate the core teaching and learning function of demonstration and modelling.

2. The multi-touch capabilities that interactive displays offer mean that more students can get around the panel and learn together. IQTouch K series and IQTouch C Pro series feature 20 points of simultaneous touch and educational software that divides the screen into quadrants so more students can participate at once.

3. Teachers use the interactive displays as learning station for both advanced learning for early finishers and remediation. Students are more engaged, and teachers save time and money when they aren’t making endless copies of worksheets.

4. IQTouch screens include a 4K display with crystal clear graphics and colours, and smooth inking in all light levels. More than that, this latest generation of IQTouch screen includes an built-in Windows 10 OPS computer, so no additional desktop or laptop is required — merely switch it on and access what you need from online apps and documents.
